The Orkney Islands can be found off the northern tip of Scotland, lying on latitude 59° north, where the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet. Orkney is an archipelago of 70 or so islands and skerries, of which 17 are currently inhabited.

With 5,000 years of culture, there is history around every corner. Wherever you are, you can literally touch the past as you run your hand across rock hewn thousands of years.

Orkney’s 5,500 year-old Neolithic Heartland was granted World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1999, and includes the magnificent preserved stone village of Skara Brae , Tomb of Maeshowe and Broch of Gurness.

Wildlife is everywhere in Orkney and during our visit of the Islands we may spot puffins, razorbills and guillemots congregating on Orkney’s vertical cliffs, whales, dolphins and porpoises in the coastal waters.
